Publishing Books with a Purpose
We founded E.M. Landsea Publishers because we love books, and we love the many things books are able to do for others. Books have inspired us, informed us, stimulated us and made us angry. Books have brought us to tears and to laughter, and both simultaneously. Books are amazing tools of learning, but they are so much more.
At E.M. Landsea our goal is to harness the magic of books by publishing on a wide variety of topics and in a wide variety of genres. Our key criteria for publishing? Is it a "good book?"
Maybe we should care more about sales potential, marketing considerations and the bottomline. And it's not that we don't consider such things. But we publish what we publish because we believe they offer something to the audience.
Just what that something is differs by the book.
Some of our titles are written to entertain, to offer a portrait of a life that the reader has not lived nor experienced.
Other titles deliver service to the reader, a set of insights that, we believe, we make their lives better lived than if they lacked that information.
So, in the simplest terms, we do what we do in a sincere effort to make our readers' lives better, richer, more fulfilled. You can certainly judge for yourself if we fulfill that mission, but every day of the week that is precisely what we try to do.
